SKE48 Matsui Rena denies rumor that she will graduate next, “I have a dream to fulfill as SKE”

Matsui Rena of SKE48 mentioned her peer Hata Sawako’s graduation announcement, and denied the rumor of her own graduation, on her official blog.

Including Hata, 10 members of SKE48 will graduate as of this Spring.

Since on 2ch – Japanese online forum, the self-claimed insider, whose information leak correctly predicted those members graduations said along with Hata, Matsui Rena will make her graduation annoucement soon, speculation arised that SKE48 is on the verge of collapse.

Rena updated a blog entry titled “Be Positive” at wee hours on March 8th.

“Today, during theater performance, Shawako (Hata Sawako) announced the graduation from the group.
She is the 10th member who will graduate SKE48 this spring.

It is a very big change that we lose the ten members.

Certainly, we will see the completely different landscape after that.”

She explained that SKE48 is now at the major crossroads of the group’s destiny.

And she deined the rumor.

“I have a dream to fulfill in SKE. In all seriousness, I want to perform on that stage (NHK Kohaku Utagassen) this year again together with everyone.

And I am pretty motivated enough to try to join the stages that SKE48 never has experienced before.

It’s impossible to achieve these goals alone by myself.
Members and your supports are vital for them.

Now I’m even more motivated to strive to the goals.

The game is not over. We will have another big game again from this point.

Now I can jump hurdles even if I feel they are set too high!

Be positive.”

Rena then promised fans that SKE48 will bring big excitement to them at upcoming Nagoya Gaishi Concerts, and solo Budokan Concert at the end of April.

“I decided, for now, I only think positive.”

She renewed her determination as a leading member of the group

9 SKE48 members, Ogiso Shiori, Yagami Kumi, Takata Shiori, Hiramatsu Kanako, Kuwabara Mizuki, Ueno Kasumi, Kobayashi Emiri, Hara Minami, and Akaeda Ririna announced their graduation from the group in June.

As Hata Sawako also announced her graduation as of the end of March, total 10 members of SKE48 wil graduate the group soon.
