MV and Album Cover Photo for AKB48’s 26th “Manatsu no Sounds Good!” (on sale 23th May) was released today!!

According to Oricon,

“Album art and MV for 26th Single of Popular idol group AKB48 “Manatsu no Sounds Good!” was released today. The song is performed by total 36 members (the largest ever) including 15 fresh faces (Hatsu Senbatu), all of them are in revealing Bikini, which is almost customary for their May single release. With Atsuko Maeda in center, all members are in white bikinis, dancing in bright sunlight of the Guam beach.”

In the Drama portion of this MV, the group is separated into 2 group, “Mamoru mono (one being chased)” (Maeda, Yuko and other frequent Senbatsu members) and “Semeru mono (chaser)” (Mayuyu, Jurina, potential ace for the next generation). In the Drama, “Semeru mono” members are trying to save members of “Mamoru mono”, who were wounded to the point that their “Evryday Cachucha” costumes were teard off, depicting in every part “Succession of Ace position” from Maeda to Mayuyu, “Generation change” from current senbatsu members to next generations, and the image of AKB in the near future.

This MV was directed by Shinji Higuchi, the director of movie “Lorelei” and “Nihon Chinbotsu” and many f Anime works. The Drama part is filled with Director’s signature VFX, in contrast with AKB’s signature Dance part, which filmed in Guam using whole day.

Limited-editions of this single (Type-A, B) and normal-editions (Type-A, B) come with Ballot Tickets for the 4th general election (AKB48 27th single general election) on 6th June. Since the winner of the last election Maeda announced her withdrawal from this upcoming election, this single is going to be the last single we can see her in Bikini on album cover.

In addition, names of 22 members selected for Media Senbatsu, which will be prioritized for Media appearance, were revealed.
